ALITA came together when many Legal Hackers across APAC who organised the first legal hackathons in their jurisdictions (eg, Brian W Tang in Hong Kong; Adeline Chin YF in Kuala Lumpur; Maurice L. Rabb, Esq. in Tokyo) decided to band together to serve the region.

Accordingly, ALITA is pleased to be a supporting organisation to LexisNexis, one of our Gold Members, for its Asia AI Hackathon 2026, which will give lawyers, in-house counsel, barristers and legal & compliance professionals across the Asia-Pacific the opportunity to get complimentary access to Lexis+ with Protégé for a six-week challenge conducted individually or in teams of up to four.

Students are welcome to join too as long as they have a lawyer in the team.
