Outstanding Legaltech Entrant Award
This award recognizes an outstanding emerging startup that has substantial potential to scale, significantly transform the legal landscape in the future and adopt innovative or breakthrough technologies.
Nomination Criteria
Must be a registered organization within any APAC jurisdiction;
Must be less than 5 years since incorporation; and
Service and/or product offering(s) must primarily serve the legal industry.

Outstanding Legal InnovatOR Award - Law Firm
This award recognises a law firm that has implemented outstanding innovation capabilities in improving either internal workflow or an industry practice through new initiative(s) and/or product development(s).
Nomination Criteria
Must have at least one office within any APAC jurisdiction; and
This award category is limited to organizations licensed in any APAC jurisdiction to provide legal services.

Outstanding Legal Innovator Award - Industry
This award recognises an outstanding industry player (including in-house legal and compliance teams, law school, service and/or tech provider) that has demonstrated implementation of an outstanding legal innovation.
Nomination Criteria
Must have a presence in at least one APAC jurisdiction.
This award category is open to:
corporate legal, compliance and legal ops departments;
law schools; and
service and/or technology providers focused on the legal industry.

Legal Innovation/Legal Tech For Good (LI/LT) Award
This award recognises an outstanding community or grassroots initiative that has helped increase access to justice and/or improve awareness of legal rights through technology and/or innovative means.
Nomination Criteria
Must benefit the community in at least one APAC jurisdiction.
This award category is open to:
NGOs or unincorporated groups of individuals;
Hackathon projects; and
Student initiatives.

Outstanding Legal Innovator Award - Individual

All nominations must be from a Member of the Asia-Pacific Legal Innovation and Technology Association (ALITA). Further details as follows:
For Organisation-based awards, the nominated organisation must be a Member of ALITA.
For Project-based awards, at least one project team member must be affiliated with an ALITA member organisation.
For the Individual-based award, the individual nominee must be affiliated with an ALITA member organisation.

Three (3) Finalists will be selected among all nominations received for each of the 6 Award categories.
Award Finalists will be Invited to attend the Award Ceremony in-person at TechLaw.Fest, Asia’s largest law and technology conference, which is in its 4th year expects more than 4,000 registrations from over 100 countries via its hybrid mode.
Winner for each Award category will be announced at the Techlaw.Fest 2022.

The short answer is yes!
The award categories are broadly grouped into three, namely:
Organisation-based awards;
Project-based awards; and
Individual award.
Each nominee may submit for ONE (1) award category under each of these groups. This means that you may submit nomination for a maximum of 3 categories.
E.g. Alex from ABC Co. can submit one nomination for each the Outstanding Legaltech Entrant Award, the Most Impactful Project Award, and the Outstanding Legal Innovator Award.
Note: Each award nomination requires a separate form submission.
