ALITA is proud to collaborate with SCCA - Singapore Corporate Counsel Association on growing the next generation of AI Ready in-house counsel as part of the SCCA Legal Eagle Challenge 2026!

In the words of ALITA co-chair Brian W Tang , who used to be an investment banking in-house counsel at Credit Suisse (now UBS) in Hong Kong, "we look forward to finding and nurturing the next generation of Singaporean talent at law schools worldwide on being AI ready to rethink the value proposition of what it means to deliver legal services to further drive efficiencies and strategies of fast evolving corporations."

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rewriting the rules; but who writes the law?

The 𝐒𝐂𝐂𝐀 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐚𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 is a unique competition designed to give law students a real taste of in-house legal practice.

In teams of 2–4, participants will tackle high-stakes scenarios where their company’s AI goes off-script, misleads users, or causes real-world consequences. The task? To advise, defend, and strategise like in-house counsel under pressure.

Over 60 law students from Singapore, the UK, and Australia stepped into the shoes of a General Counsel to tackle real-world legal and commercial challenges. With masterclasses delivered by our Cross-Disciplinary Partner, Asia-Pacific Legal Innovation & Technology Association (ALITA), participants were well-equipped to bring their best.
