ALITA was pleased to participate in the inaugural Inoblasyon: The UP Innovation Summit 2026, held on 5–6 May 2026 at SMX Convention Center Aura, Taguig, Philippines.
As part of the summit, ALITA convened the AI and Legal Practice in the Philippines Roundtable, bringing together leaders from legal practice, in-house teams, academia, policy, and legal technology to discuss AI adoption, innovation, and the future of legal services in the Philippines.
The roundtable was moderated by:
Marian Coquia-Regidor, UP System and ALITA Philippines Ambassador
Brian Tang, Founder & Chair of ALITA and Founder of the LITE Lab at the University of Hong Kong
Speakers included representatives from ACEN, IBM, PLDT, Wells Fargo, Cruz Marcelo & Tenefrancia, Quisumbing Torres, Anycase.ai, LegalDex, Lexagle, and other leading organisations.
The discussions highlighted the growing momentum for legal AI and innovation in the Philippines, and the importance of collaboration between legal professionals, technologists, universities, startups, and policymakers across the Asia-Pacific region.
