ALITA congratulates the Singapore Ministry of Law for the launch of its Guide for Using Generative Artificial Intelligence in the Legal Sector yesterday, and is pleased to be recognised as one of the organisations who participated in and contributed to the public consultation.
According to ALITA Co-chair Brian W Tang, who led ALITA's consultation response, "The Guide is a practical tool that is focussed especially on assisting SME law firms and the many stakeholders that contribut towards legal service delivery excellence, from "legal professionals (i.e. lawyers in private practice, and in-house counsel), allied legal professionals (i.e. paralegals, legal secretaries, legal technologists, and legal project managers in private practice and in-house legal teams), alternative legal service providers, law students, and anyone providing GenAI tools for the legal sector, among others." This is the broad community that ALITA serves, and I would commend it for considered reading by all those stakeholders in Singapore and beyond."
